New law for SIM card

Delhi: The new SIM card law has come into effect from July 1. According to a government spokesman, if one s SIM card is lost or damaged, it may take up to seven days to reactivate it.  It is said that this step is being taken to protect people from fraudsters. However, it has not been told how people will be protected from fraud within seven days and what steps the government will take to protect them from trouble for the whole week.
